Congratulations to the Class of 2020

It’s no secret that I love working with my seniors! I enjoy planning the photoshoots with them; each shoot ends up being unique to the senior, but every senior is always so excited for their photoshoot experience. Who wouldn’t love having this kind of energy and enthusiasm from their clients?! It’s one reason why ‘work’ isn’t like a job, but rather a wonderful part of my life, and I know that I am so very blessed. So one of the greatest days for me is when I get to meet up with a few of them for graduation mini-photoshoot day! Getting to see my seniors again is like meeting up with an old friend: catching up on how their year has gone, and what their plans are for the future. It’s a whirlwind of an evening as I only get to spend 20-25 minutes with each graduate, but I make good use of each moment chatting with them in between shooting and requesting they “giggle, giggle, giggle”!

I feel like the graduation mini-photoshoot day was more important to my seniors this year than ever before! While I don’t need to review the pandemic that we’ve been living through and how it has changed our lives in the last few months, I do want to explain how resilient these seniors are! All of them were heartbroken at the way their senior year ended but talking with them now, they refuse to let it spoil their graduation and summer plans, and their plans for next year. I am so proud of all of my Class of 2020 seniors, and especially loved spending this time with the seniors that I got to photograph for their graduation mini-photoshoot!

Alex will be attending University of Arkansas in the fall as she plans to follow her years in FFA and pursue a career in commodities trading. Click here to see her senior photos where I got to photograph her with her FFA lamb, Nova! Pilar will go home to Spain this summer and study to become a lawyer!!! Ronard hopes to meet her in Spain as well. Click here to see Pilar’s amazing downtown photoshoot where she completely changed the look of her outfit with a jacket and some boots! Alyssa will stay in Tulsa and attend TCC in general studies. Like me, she is going to college with the world wide open to her without a specific direction. I know whatever she decides to do in life, it will be amazing! Click here to see her beautiful fall senior photoshoot at Turkey Mountain! Finally, Brita applied to many prestigious schools across the country and decided on Rice University. Click here to see her gorgeous photoshoot that turned into a giant thunderstorm and chased us away from the backfields at Gilcrease Museum!

Congratulations to the class of 2020!
