A Downtown Tulsa Proposal

I love capturing proposals, and this one was special! When Isidro reached out to me about proposing to his then-girlfriend, Jessica, he knew he wanted a downtown setting. His original idea was a rooftop proposal, so we talked through some options to make that happen. I also suggested Williams Green as a beautiful alternative—a little park right in the middle of downtown with gorgeous views of Tulsa’s skyline. After some research, he decided that Williams Green was the perfect spot.

His plan was simple but incredibly romantic. On his was to a fancy downtown dinner with Jessica, he would casually walk her through the park, leading her right to the surprise setup. He arranged for marquee letters spelling out “Marry Me,” with a pathway lined with red roses. It was picture-perfect!

As they walked into the square downtown, I could see the exact moment Jessica realized something was happening. She hesitated, thinking maybe they weren’t supposed to be there, but Isidro reassured her and led her down the rose-lined path. Then it clicked—this was all for her! Right in front of the marquee letters, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said “yes!”

After the big moment, we took some portraits around Williams Green, soaking in the magic of the evening. Everything came together to make their proposal incredibly special.
