Colorful Spring Wedding at Camp Lucy, TX

Some wedding days feel like they are kissed by fate, and Elizabeth and Robert Jr.’s was one of them. Nestled in the rolling hills of Dripping Springs, Texas, Camp Lucy served as the breathtaking backdrop for their wedding—a place that reminded them of where their love story took its next big step: Italy.

A Love Story Rooted in Romance

On their five-year anniversary, Robert Jr. surprised Elizabeth with a trip to a quaint town in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It was on their first evening there, surrounded by the old-world charm of cobblestone streets and golden light, that he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. When they returned home, Robert Jr. commemorated the moment with a rose tattoo behind his ear—a quiet, constant tribute to Elizabeth.

Italy in Texas

When it came time to plan their wedding, there was no question that Italy’s vibrancy and charm would be at the heart of the design. Elizabeth envisioned a wedding bursting with the hues of a colorful Italian spring—pinks, oranges, purples, blues, and greens, woven seamlessly into every detail. Their wedding planner captured this dream perfectly, calling the design Italy in Color.

Their ceremony took place on the front steps of Ian’s Chapel, offering the feeling of a classic church setting but with the soft glow of natural light—a photographer’s dream. Despite a rainy forecast, the skies granted them the most perfectly timed break in the rain just 30 minutes before the ceremony. It felt like a blessing, just in time for their union.

A Celebration Under the Pavilion

With another rain cloud looming in the distance, the reception was moved under the open-air Pavilion next to the chapel, allowing guests to celebrate in candle light and the fresh Texas air. The atmosphere was warm and lively, mirroring the joy of the newlyweds.

From the heartfelt vows to the laughter echoing through the night, Elizabeth and Robert Jr.’s wedding day was nothing short of magical—a celebration of love, resilience, and the beauty of a well-placed splash of color.
