Macey and Gideon traveled back home from San Diego to Oklahoma for their wedding day. They grew up in a small town together, started dating in high school, Gideon served in the Navy, Macey was in law school, and after 8 years they were finally getting married! Macey’s inspiration for their wedding day was a light, airy, romantic and pastel-themed wedding against a classic white backdrop at Dream Point Ranch.
Every wedding day is full of love, but Macey and Gideon’s wedding will forever be one of my favorites because of how their tribe was firmly bonded together. The intense relationships that formed between Macey and her parents to not only Gideon, but also his brother, Jerrod are inspiring. Both were treated like they had already been family for years, not just on their wedding day through marriage. One way to observe their bond was through the speeches, which were wonderful, full of laughter, some sweet tears, and so much love. But it was the surprise speech made by Christy, Macey’s mom, that stole the show. It was a powerful and emotional speech where not a dry eye would be found. The love and pride that she has for Macey and Gideon was eloquently delivered.
Macey and Gideon’s first look was so sweet, giving them a precious moment together on their special day. Macey surprised Gideon with the watch of his dreams and the shock on his face was priceless! Walking to the ceremony, Macey wanted to honor both father figures in her life and the longer walk at Dream Point Ranch offered her the ability to do just that. Macey’s father started the walk with her and then handed her off to her dad/ step dad as he walked her the rest of the way to say “I do”. During the first dances, Macey and her dad, Charlie, were joined by Christy and Gideon on the dance floor. Macey truly doesn’t love the spotlight being on her but Christy and Gideon did sneak off to continue their dance on the side of the venue as Macey and Charlie finished the song. Macey once again planned a very sweet moment where her father and step mom would come up and have their own dance with Macey and Gideon.
As she was planning the wedding, Macey had a vision for her florals but couldn’t find an example of exactly what she wanted. When she saw the bouquet that Felix, owner of Emerald and Olive, created for her she was amazed and overcome with delight. He created a work of art that was straight from her imagination. She did her diligence in finding a true floral artist. She told me she sent him a million photos of what she didn’t want, hoping that he’d come close to what she imagined. When in fact, he completely captured her floral dreams.
The night ended with a giant dance circle, a cheer for OSU, and an air guitar solo by Gideon. It was a perfect, spring colored wedding day full of powerful love and officially marked the start of a family that had already existed for a long time.

“Amanda was an incredible wedding photographer!!! My husband and I felt comfortable with her instantly. The day of the wedding she was calm and collected… so professional but also warm and friendly. You have to spend your whole wedding day with your photographer so make sure you love them and much as I love Amanda! I’ll be her cheerleader for life. I cannot recommend her enough as your future photographer.”

Greer and Colt planned an elegant black and white wedding color palette with pops of gold and some green. Their theme was executed wonderfully with a simple and modern elegance added to every detail. Cole’s Garden in Oklahoma City was the perfect venue to hold their vision. A very classic wedding for a very classy couple.
