Greer’s father said it best in his reception speech: Gordon told the story about how he was ready for the young man who would come and ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage one day. He had it all planned, that he would instruct him on how he was to treat his precious and beautiful daughter, how this young man would need to respect her and not hurt her. Like most dads, Greer was Gordon’s special baby girl, and she would always hold a very special place in his heart, no matter how old she was or what phase of life she entered. But when it came to Colt, Gordon knew he was a man of character, integrity, respect, and, most importantly, completely in love with his youngest child and only daughter, Greer. Gordon told the guests at their reception, as he fought back tears, that when Colt came to him, it wasn’t a conversation that he needed to have with Colt. Because Colt was everything that he and Greer’s mom could have hoped for. It was clear to Greer’s family that she had found the person that was made for her. 

Greer and Colt are a couple unlike any other: they are incredibly generous and kind, being helpful to others and integrity are very important to them, and they are loved by so many! I first met Colt via FaceTime as we plotted his proposal to Greer in front of the Civic Center in Oklahoma City. It was so rewarding to hear Greer’s sweet “yes” after months of planning with Colt, and his joy when she uttered that word. Through months of their engagement, they were a long-distance couple and when it came time for their engagement photoshoot at Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, they were able to see each other for the first time in a while. It was a wonderful summer evening and a great date night for them! 

After having been engaged for a year and a half, their wedding day finally came! Greer and Colt planned a beautiful wedding with some of the best vendors in Oklahoma. The color palette was mainly black and white with pops of gold and some green. Their theme was executed wonderfully with a simple and modern elegance added to every detail. Cole’s Garden in Oklahoma City was the perfect venue to hold their vision. A very classic wedding for a very classy couple.

It has been incredible to walk with you through this period of your life and the start of your journey in life together. Capturing these moments for you has been an absolute honor. Getting to know you and spending time with you both has been a blessing; your relationship is a testament to true love and beautiful friendship!
