Haskell Oklahoma Winter Engagement Photoshoot

Emily and Eli’s early spring engagement photoshoot was planned for the most perfect evening in Oklahoma! The sun set was gorgeous and the temperature was absolute perfection; it made the experience so comfortable for all of us!! Emily and Eli requested to have their engagement photoshoot at Eli’s parent’s property, which is the same place they will get married this summer. Emily calls it “Sturgeon Hill” because Eli’s family owns acres and acres on the top of this hill in Haskell, Oklahoma. Their property has an amazing view of the Arkansas River and the southern end of Coweta. This view made for a stunning backdrop for their early spring engagement photoshoot and I know it will be even more beautiful when everything is blooming and green. We had a great time laughing, walking around the property, and finding unusual spots to stop and take photos.

Personally, I love it when couples choose photoshoot locations that are special and unique to them. While I have a location guide of great spots around Tulsa, I always encourage a location that is specific to my couples. The photos showcase a connection that is unique and special, which makes the photos even more genuine. Eli’s parent’s property fits them better than a location in downtown Tulsa ever could and their photos will always be different than anyone else’s!

Emily and Eli,

I can’t wait until your summer wedding!! That view of Sturgeon Hill is going to make a magical ceremony setting: one that is so unique and special to you both. You two are so sweet, trusting, and were a joy to photograph. I hope you enjoy just a few highlights from your engagement photoshoot!!
