She’s a little firecracker but she’s also incredibly gentle and kind. She has strong morals that are deeply rooted in her love for God and The Word. She also has the most beautiful hair! Catherine is so many amazing things, this list could go on and on. One thing she definitely is: she’s smart… wise beyond her years! Her mother calls her an “old soul” and I think that’s very spot on! This Edison Prep senior is always doing things that surprise me.

Shortly after I accepted her to my model team, she posted on her stories that she went to a political rally to meet the man at the front of the line. She wanted to know more about the person that was first in line to get into the event and then to tell his story. I was shocked. Teens of today are not typically investigators like that. They don’t normally think about other people and want to know more about them. Most people want to tell the parts of their life that are awesome to them. Catherine and her twin brother went to meet someone they didn’t know and probably would never see again to learn more about him. 

Catherine and I have been following each other on Instagram for a very long time, although I am not sure when we started, I think it was around the time she started high school. For years, Catherine has been waiting for the class of 2021 Senior Model Team applications to open and for just as long she has been waiting for her Senior Photoshoot Experience. So the day arrives and just as I am pulling into downtown Tulsa to her first location, it starts to rain. Can you imagine waiting for something for years and then it rains? We sat in our cars, 20 feet apart, rain hitting the windshields, texting one another. I had a plan. I didn’t want her day to be all but lost! She was already ready. We improvised and pulled out a clear umbrella that I had in my car and then ran in search of shelter at Guthrie Green until there was a break in the rain. Then we finished her shoot at Woodward Park, where I finally got to meet the famous Delilah, her 1-year-old dog.

Even though your photoshoot wasn’t as we had planned, you did an amazing job! You surprised me once again with your positive attitude and willingness to be flexible!! I can’t tell you how incredibly touched I am that you followed me on Instagram for years knowing that you wanted me to be your senior photographer. It just melts my heart! I adore you and how much you love your sweet Delilah; I am so, so, so glad that I got to finally meet her. Those photos of you two might be my favorites from your gallery! I really hope you enjoy the highlights from your photoshoot.
