She steps out of the barn onto the patio and turns toward him; his back is to her. She says to me “I want to tap him on the shoulder.” There was eagerness in her voice and I knew she wanted to be as close to him as quick as she could. I agreed “okay!” I didn’t have to ask them to hold their kiss for 5 seconds, so I could get plenty of photographs of them. They are not a quick peck kind of couple. When he kisses her it’s because he loves her so deeply, and when she kisses him it’s because she’s found the rock that she’s always needed in her life. There’s so much passion and love wrapped up in their kisses. She walks up to him, taps him on the shoulder, he turns to her, and his otherwise calm and stoic face completely lights up. He has the biggest smile I have ever seen on his face and he immediately wraps his arms around her waist, draws her in close, and kisses her with one of their classic long kisses. Amber and Nathan’s first look was a success! They had a beautiful wedding day in Talala, Oklahoma at the Steel Barn Event Center.
Amber and Nathan created a wedding day experience for their guests that was like nothing I have ever seen! They generously gifted anyone with a wedding task with a boutonniere or corsage; the cake cutters received Rustic Cuff thank you gifts. For the reception, they welcomed their family to change into more comfortable clothing so they could enjoy the evening and dance the night away! As they greeted their guests, I heard them ask if they needed anything, if they were okay, and how they were doing. It showed me their heart in wanting to celebrate their marriage with the people they hold dear in their lives. Amber greeted many wedding guests before she walked down the aisle instead of hiding in her bridal suite, as many brides choose to do. It was so sweet to witness their wedding day and see how they cherish their family and friends.
