Normally I don’t host a make-up model team photoshoot but there was something about this year that made me think twice. We’ve all been missing out on so much of life: postponed events, cancelled seasons, and not being able to participate in anything like we had looked forward to… because it’s starting to seem like this is the “new normal”. This wasn’t what I was expecting when that term popped up about six months ago. But one thing I promised my Senior Model Team when the journey started was that I would do my best to not let the Coronavirus cancel this tradition.

“It may look different,” I warned them, “it may not be the same as years past and it might not be what any of us envisions for the model team program but I will do my best to stay flexible, abide by the laws, and still have a model team!” Some of these ladies have been following me since they were underclassmen and have been looking forward to this experience their entire high school career. I decided that I couldn’t do that to these five ladies.
