Private Property Wedding in Haskell, Oklahoma

Emily and Eli were married at Eli’s parent’s house, at the top of what they call “Sturgeon Hill”, where a lot of his family lives. This hill has an overlook that displays some of Coweta’s beautiful countryside and gave Emily and Eli an amazing backdrop for their ceremony. Eli’s parents joked when they bought the house that they could use the property to host a wedding for their children, never imagining one of them would do just that!

One of the sweetest gifts that Emily and Eli received came from Emily’s mother. A set of gold pins that had once belonged to Emily’s grandmother: a lock and key. The sight of the pins made her tear up. She wore her lock pinned to her “something blue” handkerchief and Eli wore the key pinned to the lapel on his jacket. A very sweet touch with history in Emily’s family!!

Although it was forecasted to, it didn’t storm through Emily and Eli’s wedding day. We constantly checked the weather and with a completely outdoor wedding day, we were overjoyed with the clouds and no rain! During the final hour, the sun peeked through a sliver of the clouds just above the horizon and gave this sweet couple some final moments of sunshine for the most amazing sunset photos! You bet we took advantage of every last minute of the sun.
